Centurion Truck Rental will once again support Ronald McDonald House UK at this year’s Leisure Classic, taking place September 2026 at the Vila Sol Golf Resort in Portugal. The Leisure Classic is one of the charity’s major fundraising events, bringing together businesses and supporters to raise money for families with children who are seriously ill or injured.
Centurion will again provide transport support for the event, helping to move equipment to Portugal ahead of the four-day fundraiser. Managing Director Warren Fletcher will be attending the event, joined this year by Centurion’s Commercial Director, Oliver Boucher.

A charity close to home
Ronald McDonald House UK is particularly important to Warren and his family. When Warren’s son was seriously ill in childhood, the family received support from the charity and stayed at a Ronald McDonald House while he received treatment. Having somewhere close to the hospital to stay, rest and manage day-to-day life made a significant difference at an extremely difficult time.
That experience is a big part of why Warren has continued to support the charity and why Centurion has been involved with the Leisure Classic over a number of years.
Warren said:
“Ronald McDonald House will always mean a great deal to me and my family because we know first-hand what a difference it can make when your child is seriously ill. When you’re going through something like that, being able to stay close to your child and have somewhere to sleep, eat and take a break from the hospital environment makes a real difference. Supporting the Leisure Classic is something I’m very pleased that Centurion can continue to do. It’s a great event, but most importantly, the money raised helps Ronald McDonald House continue supporting families when they need it.”

A new name and a new look
This year’s event comes as the charity introduces a modernised brand.
Ronald McDonald House UK has updated its name and visual identity to better reflect the wider range of support it provides to families with seriously ill or injured children.
While the charity is widely known for providing free accommodation close to hospitals, its support extends beyond a place to sleep. Families can access shared kitchens and spaces to spend time together, somewhere to rest between long hours on the ward, laundry facilities, everyday essentials and support from House teams and other families going through similar experiences.
The charity currently works in partnership with 14 NHS hospitals across the UK and supports more than 8,000 families each year. In 2025, 8,488 families stayed with Ronald McDonald House UK, with an average stay of 16 nights. Since the first UK House opened in 1989, more than 100,000 families have been supported. Demand for this support continues to grow, with plans to expand the charity’s services and help more families in the future.
Centurion’s role
Events such as the Leisure Classic require plenty of organisation before guests arrive in Portugal. Centurion will once again support the logistics involved in transporting equipment for the event, continuing a relationship with the charity that has both a personal and business connection.

“I’m really pleased to be joining Warren at this year’s Leisure Classic and representing Centurion at an event we’ve supported for a number of years. Many of our
I know how important Ronald McDonald House is to Warren and his family, so I’m looking forward to learning more about the charity, meeting the people involved and seeing the support behind the event. It’s great that Centurion can play a practical part in helping make it happen.”

Looking ahead to September
The Leisure Classic takes place from 13th to 16th September 2026 at the Vila Sol Golf Resort in Portugal.
Centurion is pleased to be supporting the event again and helping to raise awareness of the work Ronald McDonald House UK does for families who need to remain close to a child receiving hospital treatment.
